Are the mouths on the people
puppets moveable?Yes. All the people puppets have
moveable mouths.
Where does your hand enter the mouth?
From the back of the puppet. I recommend that you run your hand
under the shirt and into the hole in the back of the puppet so the
puppeteers arm does not show.
Do
the mouths work good?
Yes. While every puppeteer has a different definition of what
works "good" as puppeteers ourselves, we use the puppets and we like
how they work. The mouth has a strap on the inside of the bottom
mouth to hold your thumb secure. The top of the mouth is snug enough
to prevent excessive slipping.
What size are the people puppets?
Most every puppet comes in two sizes the 28" and the 14" tall
size. The size is measured from the top of the head to the bottom of
the foot.
What is a full-bodied puppet?
It is a puppet that has legs.
What is a half-bodied puppet?
It is a puppet without legs that is designed to be used behind
the stage.
Are
the legs detachable?
No. The puppets really are pretty light even though they have
legs. The puppets can be used behind a stage or in front of the
stage.
We have puppets that do not have legs that we call half bodied
puppets for use exclusively behind the stage.
What is a rod armed puppet?
It is a puppet with a rod attached to the arm so you can move the
arm of the puppet. A beginning puppeteer can get plenty of good
movement by moving the one arm that comes with the rod.
More advanced puppeteers will want to use two rods to get move
movement from their puppet. Even if you use one rod at a time by
picking up one rod moving that arm, dropping the rod and then using
the other rod.
Do
the arms have rods?
Each puppet comes with one rod. (Except the half bodied puppet.
They come with 2 rods. One for each arm.)
Can
I purchase additional rods?
Yes.
