Hand People Puppets $45.95 each Need some help to make learning the alphabet really fun?
These human hand puppets come complete with a sack of alphabet cookies to
make learning the alphabet a real treat. You won't need a stage with
these full bodied puppets. Put one hand in the puppet's mouth and the other
hand in one of the gloves. Use the puppet hand to pick up the cookies or
make hand gestures. Don't worry that you're not a ventriloquist. When you
begin to interact with your audience they'll forget about you as they watch
the puppet. Or sit the flannel board beside your chair and let the
puppet put the visuals on the board. Be sure to let the puppet make
mistakes. Children love to correct the puppet and that activity assures you
that they are really listening. If
you have never used a human hand puppet you are in for a real treat. A
human hand puppet means that you use a human hand inside the glove of the
puppet. With this method of manipulation you can get some very realistic
results. You can do magic tricks, sign language or use props more easily. The human hand puppet can be
used for one or two puppeteer operations. If you are only using one
puppeteer, then stuff the other hand and pin it at his side or stuff
it like it is in a pocket behind the puppet. Using two
puppeteers takes some practice to coordinate the movements, but it is well
worth the effort. The taller person does the head of the puppet. The
shorter person operates the hands. One of our favorite human arm
puppets is Reggie. I often forget he is not a real person. His hand
gestures really make him come alive. Click here to see our grandma
human arm puppet.
