Spread Love Drama/Puppet Skit

Hart: What’s wrong with you?

 Reggie: Awe, I’m grounded. I hate being grounded, especially when it’s not my fault. 

Hart: You’re grounded and it’s not your fault?

 Reggie: It’s my teacher’s fault. She read dis dumb quote to us. My teacher says dat Mother Teresa said “Spread love everywhere ya go.” But I don’t believe it.

 Hart:  You don’t believe what?

 Reggie:  I don’t believe a nice lady like Mother Teresa would say something like dat. 

 Hart: Like what?

 Reggie: You aren’t listening, “Spread love everywhere you go.”

 Hart:  You got me confused. Mother Teresa did say that. But what’s wrong with spreading love?

 Reggie: Cause dat’s what I did and my mom got so mad she grounded me for de rest of my life.

 Hart: Your mama grounded you for spreading “love”?

 Reggie: Dat’s right. Ya see I love peanut butter. So I took a jar with me and everywhere I went I spread some of dat love.

 Hart: You spread peanut butter on the wall?

 Reggie: And on de recliner, and de doorknobs. Ya shoulda seen her trying ta open da door with all dat peanut butter on it. I laughed til I cried, but mama didn’t laugh!

 Hart: That’s not spreading love. That’s making a big mess.

 Reggie:  But I love peanut butter and sardines and onions wid pickles and catsup. But I didn’t spread any of dat utter stuff.  

Hart: Spreading love is giving kindness and consideration for others. It’s helping people. It’s smiling at them and saying nice things to them. And it’s an attitude of the heart. When God’s love is in your heart, it’s gonna come out in your actions.

 Reggie:  Oh, no. I goofed again. I got a big mess to clean up. I better git busy. I wonder if mama will let me lick the peanut butter off the wall?

 Hart: Don’t even ask!
